According to the German-Jewish tradition the men and boys wear white ""Kepchin." They used to be custom made but are hard to come by. A few years ago I got the idea that since the shape is similar to Bucharian kipas I would try to find if Bucharian kipas also came in solid colors. That is when I found Rachel's Treasure. I have benn buying them since for my Husband, sons and grandsons. These kipas come in various sizes and depths and they have a slight stretch that keeps it on the head. I have also bought black ones for my son when he is the Torah Reader and even suggested a black velvet one for the Cantor and Rachels treasures took my suggestion.
