Description

Hamsas quilted batik wall hanging trabunto Hands of Fatima

"Helping Hands" a one of a kind piece designed and made by Kate Rachel Lozier.

Helping Hands is a one of a kind quilted wall hanging.  I used the trapunto and applique techniques to emphasize the "hands" or Hamsa / Hand of G-d.  We give each other hope through use of our hands individually and collectively to enhance our lives and our World.  I used bright batik colors in a variety of prints and styles.  I quilted the piece making waves around the Hands to highlight how we help and bring hope to the World.

I have created a beautiful quilted double Hamsa (Hand of Fatima, Hand of Miriam, Hand of G-d) using batiks, machine quilting and the trabunto quilting method.

The two hands are 3 dimensional with batting to raise them above the main level of the wall hanging.

I used many gorgeous batik fabrics to create this unusual wall hanging.

The back has two pockets to hold a dowel (Not included).

Dimensions:  24" wide (horizontal) by 18" tall (vertical)  a rectangle

This beauty is read to ship.

All cotton, polyester batting, cotton thread, machine wash, suggest air drying.
