"Quilted Hamsa Wall hanging purples turquoise" is a one of a kind piece designed and made by Kate Rachel Lozier

I have created a beautiful quilted Hamsa (Hand of Fatima, Hand of Miriam, Hand of G-d) using batiks, machine embroidery, machine quilting and the trapunto quilting method.

The one embroidered hand/hamsa in variegated embroider thread and purple mottled batik is 3 dimensional with batting to raise them slightly above the main level of the wall hanging.  Please see all of the pictures, as well as the reverse side in order to appreciate the detailed quilting.

I quilted all around the hamsa as well as the surrounding beautiful fabrics.  I hand sewed the binding edge and backed this gorgeous piece with an all cotton twill medium purple fabric.

I used many gorgeous batik fabrics to create this unusual wall hanging...

The back has two pockets to hold a dowel (Not included).
