Why we wear white during the Jewish High Holidays
L'shanah tovah tikateivu v'teichateimu!!!! לְשָׁנָה טוֹבָה תִכָּתֵבוּ וְתֵּחָתֵמוּ
So, why do we wear white during Rosh HasShanah through Yom Kippur?
White is a symbol of purity as well as new beginnings. Jewish custom suggests that one avoid wearing the color red. As we go through the 10 days of awe, we are examining our lives, asking for forgiveness, and turning ourselves to live better lives.
Of course we hear the Shofar and eat yummy, especially sweet foods! I wish all of you that observe the Jewish Holidays a wonderful New Year 5784!
